Do you have trouble coping with intense emotions, interpersonal relationships, and have a generally negative sense of self? Do you feel confused in close relationships, overwhelmed with emotional pain and fear the other person leaving you? I love to work with clients at any stage in their healing process, and who may be dealing with trauma, incoherent sense of self, suicidal ideation attachment issues and/or depression – just to name a few.
I have counseled a wide variety of clients, including adults and adolescents, who have dealt with depression, anxiety, abuse, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, LGBTQ-related issues, and schizophrenia. I am particularly interested in counseling those with Borderline Personality Disorder. I also have experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital and counseling those who require intensive treatment.
I believe in developing an honest counselor-client relationship through compassion and understanding. I am also passionate about resisting and fighting stigma that several populations unfortunately deal with. I would love to collaborate with you to meet your treatment goals. We Work With Individuals, Couples, Families, & Groups
Individuals that seek psychotherapy usually do so because they are experiencing difficulty in their relationships or uncomfortable symptoms of anxiety, depression, or stress.
We often think of marriage counseling as a last resort – when things are so bad that divorce is the next best solution. Many people also associate divorce with significant life issues and changes: infidelity, abandonment, abuse, or addictions.
It’s not unusual for teens to feel a range of emotions: from anger, anxiousness or depression, to disconnection or confusion. More than ever, this is a time for them to feel connected as they learn and grow as individuals into adulthood.
"I had given therapy a chance a few times before, but it just didn’t stick. I wasn’t able to connect or get what I needed from the therapists I visited so I gave up on it. Years later, I decided that my mental health is and should be my number one priority so I gave it another go. I have been meeting with Dr. Glenda weekly since August and it has completely changed my life for the better. She has helped me navigate through my thought process, emotions and my inner healing. I am so grateful that I found her practice, it’s been my saving grace!."
"Mrs. Glenda is a good counselor. She’s definitely helping me work through some hard times and I’m seeing positive results in a short time. She’s also helping me build my confidence and I’m becoming a better woman with her help. I would definitely recommend her."
" Glenda has been a blessing to me. She has helped me through some very difficult life events. She is very flexible and always available. Plus she is on my insurance. I have been very pleased with my over all care and the bedside manner I have received. I’m very thankful I have her in my life."
