Hello! I’m Glenda
Psychotherapist, Licensed Professional Counselor
As an experienced psychotherapist, I offer a warm and welcoming therapeutic atmosphere that fosters personal growth. I have a high-level skill-set, a wealth of personal experience, and a wide array of clinical interventions to help people reach their fullest potential. I rely heavily on established principles and ethics that honor confidentiality.
I am a native Houstonian and have been working as a licensed therapist for a little over thirteen years with experience in education and crisis intervention. I found my passion in Mental Health advocacy from my experience working with children in the education system and the foster care system. I currently preside on the Board of Directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness-Greater Houston. My fellow board members and I have strived to create a community of individuals dedicated to spreading awareness on mental health.
With my practice serving in Katy, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia, I have provided psychotherapy services for individuals and families while leading support groups for parents of teens struggling with depression. In addition, I have served on various panel discussions that lead to an increase of resources that have spread awareness on the necessity of mental health awareness.
My Approach & Values
I use an integrated counseling approach that combines Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with Person-Centered Counseling—in addition, incorporating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to combat Trauma. Our relationship is based on unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence.
The psychotherapy relationship is based on trust and understanding, which is imperative for healing to take place. The nature of our relationship will be a collaborative one where you and I will work together to accomplish your set goals.

We Work With Individuals, Couples, Families, & Groups
Individuals that seek psychotherapy usually do so because they are experiencing difficulty in their relationships or uncomfortable symptoms of anxiety, depression, or stress.
We often think of marriage counseling as a last resort – when things are so bad that divorce is the next best solution. Many people also associate divorce with significant life issues and changes: infidelity, abandonment, abuse, or addictions.
It’s not unusual for teens to feel a range of emotions: from anger, anxiousness or depression, to disconnection or confusion. More than ever, this is a time for them to feel connected as they learn and grow as individuals into adulthood.
"I had given therapy a chance a few times before, but it just didn’t stick. I wasn’t able to connect or get what I needed from the therapists I visited so I gave up on it. Years later, I decided that my mental health is and should be my number one priority so I gave it another go. I have been meeting with Dr. Glenda weekly since August and it has completely changed my life for the better. She has helped me navigate through my thought process, emotions and my inner healing. I am so grateful that I found her practice, it’s been my saving grace!."
"Mrs. Glenda is a good counselor. She’s definitely helping me work through some hard times and I’m seeing positive results in a short time. She’s also helping me build my confidence and I’m becoming a better woman with her help. I would definitely recommend her."
" Glenda has been a blessing to me. She has helped me through some very difficult life events. She is very flexible and always available. Plus she is on my insurance. I have been very pleased with my over all care and the bedside manner I have received. I’m very thankful I have her in my life."
